New Terranova
Overview
New Terranova is the capital of The Second Lilaris Empire and the federal seat of the United Provinces of Lilaris. It was originally established under the Ehrengard Empire as the successor city to the historic Terranova of Landfall-230 - The Great Dominion, inheriting that capital's role as the political and administrative heart of the dominant Lilaris-aligned state. After the founding of the Empire it served as the seat of the Ehrveillian Dynasty and the working capital of the Imperial government.
Under the Provincial Constitution, New Terranova was designated a federal district belonging to no Province and administered directly by the National Assembly. The city houses Dominion Hall, the royal palace and historic seat of the Twin Thrones; the New Terranova Imperial Court, where the People v. Huge Larry and other major cases were tried; and the working offices of the Imperial departments established by the Imperial Charter and its statutory law.

The historic core of the city, including the boulevard fronting Dominion Hall and the main civic spaces. The Rainbow Crosswalk in New Terranova Proper was hand-painted by Empress Kara A. Ehrveil and publicly declared a symbol of diversity and kinship across the Empire. Its private meaning, recorded in Kara's Diary, was a signal aimed at Riven Skorne.

Major Events
Huge Larry's Provocations
Across the weeks preceding the Princess Salem Incident, Huge Larry carried out a series of provocations targeting New Terranova: unlawful entries into Dominion Hall, defacement of the Hall's nameplate and the city's welcome sign, and a public declaration claiming personal sovereignty over the city, with state assets renamed in his own name. These actions formed Case No. 572-LIR-NT and were later folded into the consolidated case.
The CTC Tower
Willy Luditus constructed the CTC Tower directly behind Dominion Hall as a provocation against the imperial family. The structure cast a shadow over the palace and was declared a matter of national security. Porter Ehrveil, then Secretary of Defense, demolished it with ceremonial cannons.
The Imperial Wedding
Empress Kara A. Ehrveil and Riven Skorne were married in Dominion Hall, with the accompanying The Idesian Accord signed on the same occasion. The anniversary of the Accord is observed annually in New Terranova as the Day of Reunion.
Ratification of the Provincial Constitution
Kara A. Ehrveil and Nordvik Alvaldi drafted The Constitution of the United Provinces of Lilaris together at Dominion Hall. Upon ratification by national referendum, New Terranova was formally designated the federal district of the Republic and its directly administered capital.
