Overview
Veltic Veltol is the younger brother of Vetis Veltol and an apprentice merchant under Edward Redcliffe. He arrived in New Terranova alongside his brother during the mid-period of Landfall-530 - Noble Blood, following a long journey from their distant homeland, and has since spent the bulk of his career in Edward’s mentorship rather than in his brother’s circle.
Appearance
Veltic shares the purple eyes and the physical features distinctive to the brothers’ homeland, a region whose people resemble the populations of the distant deserts. He is the smaller and frailer of the two, and presents himself in royal attire complete with a crown that he is rarely seen without, in contrast to his brother’s armored bearing.
Background
Arrival in New Terranova
Veltic was sixteen when the brothers entered New Terranova by way of the Ivory Reaches. The two were taken in by Edward Redcliffe at the Red Diamond Casino, who placed Vetis on the Casino payroll and offered Veltic an apprenticeship in trade under his own direct mentorship. Veltic had been pursuing a merchant’s vocation since his earliest years and accepted the offer at once.
Apprenticeship Under Edward
Veltic spent the apprenticeship years working out of the Casino’s backrooms and learning the merchant side of the Red Corporation from Edward in person. The arrangement was the closest sustained mentor relationship he had ever held, and the bond between the two was strong enough that when the Ehrengard Empire later directed Edward to relocate and commit his time to the development of Old Yotem, Veltic chose to follow him south rather than remain in New Terranova with his brother.
He has remained in Old Yotem since.
